Many Venezuelans have deep-seated grievances against Nicolás Maduro

Many Venezuelans have deep-seated grievances against Nicolás Maduro, who last lead them for 13 years.
Here are the primary reasons why many Venezuelans turned against him
Under Maduro’s leadership, Venezuela—once the wealthiest nation in South America due to its oil reserves—suffered one of the worst economic collapses in modern history.

The local currency (the Bolívar) became virtually worthless, making it impossible for people to afford basic food, medicine, or utilities.

Statistics often showed that over 75% of the population fell into extreme poverty and Severe shortages of basic goods like toilet paper, flour, and medicine became a daily struggle for years.
Maduro’s legitimacy has been under fire for nearly a decade.
The 2018 and 2024 presidential elections were widely condemned by the Venezuelan opposition and the international community (including the US and EU) as fraudulent.
His government frequently jailed political rivals, barred popular candidates from running, and used security forces to violently suppress protests.
He bypassed the democratically elected National Assembly by creating a "Constituent Assembly" filled with his own loyalists.

International organizations, including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC), have investigated the Maduro government for
Because of the lack of food, safety, and economic opportunity, roughly 8 million Venezuelans (about 25% of the population) have fled the country since 2014.
This has torn families apart and created a massive refugee crisis across Latin America and the United States.

The Venezuelan government has been accused of widespread corruption, with officials allegedly plundering billions in oil wealth.
I Have carefully observed the Venezuela situation and I have realized, Nigeria is in an  almost similar situation.
While we know the whereabouts of the Venezuela President, Nigerians do not seem to know the whereabouts of their president at this point in time.
