Nigerian security forces have successfully arrested Shariff Umar (a.k.a. "Yusuf"), identified as the top coordinator of a Boko Haram suicide bombing network.
Umar was identified following an intelligence-led operation in Maiduguri on Dec. 31, 2025, where 14 suspects were initially captured.
