HORROR IN EBONYI: OKPOROJO VILLAGE RAVAGED BY DEADLY GUNMEN RAID
Okporojo community in Oso Edda, Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was thrown into chaos on Friday morning after armed attackers launched a violent raid, leaving death and destruction in their wake.
Eyewitnesses described a scene of unimaginable horror as gunmen reportedly stormed the village before dawn, killing residents, abducting others, and setting homes ablaze. The attack has left many fleeing for safety, with parts of the community engulfed in flames.
One resident, speaking anonymously, revealed the grisly details of the assault. “They beheaded five people and carried their heads away,” the source said. “Others were kidnapped, and homes were burned. The whole village is in shock.”
Social media videos show raging fires consuming houses while terrified residents scream for help. In one clip, a voice can be heard pleading: “Please, someone help us! They are burning everything and killing people!”
Another resident recounted the panic: “We don’t know who they are. They came suddenly and began shooting and setting houses on fire. People ran into the bushes to save their lives.”
