Steven Kefas has publicly challenged the Kaduna State Police Command

Following the viral reports of the abduction of Christian worshippers in Kajuru LGA, Steven Kefas has publicly challenged the Kaduna State Police Command, which denied the incident. In a bold response, he stated:

“If the Kaduna State Police Commissioner knows that he is not lying to the public, he should order my arrest. Let us meet in court with our respective facts.”

Steven Kefas insists that he stands firmly by his report that 177 worshippers were kidnapped during church services on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Kurmin Wali, Afogo Ward, Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State. According to him, this is not a matter for propaganda or damage control, but a grave human tragedy that deserves honesty and urgent action.

“I seriously do not understand why we have to play politics with human lives. That is where I draw the line,” he added.
When citizens are forced to challenge authorities to court just to defend the truth, it raises disturbing questions about transparency, denial, and the handling of insecurity. Nigerians deserve facts, not contradictions. Victims deserve rescue, not silence.
