KADUNA, THE YOUNG ONES ARE SHOOTING WHILE THE OLDER ONES BURNING HOUSES, THE ONE THAT SHOT ME IS NOT EVEN 15- Deme.
According to NewsVista Reporter, Joshua Deme, a farmer from Kaduna State, has shared a chilling account of how he survived a brutal attack on his Worro community.
Deme revealed that the assault was carried out by groups with specific roles. The younger attackers, many under 15, were responsible for shooting, while the older ones burned houses and coordinated the attack.
He recounted how a teenager shot him, grazing his stomach and arms. “The one who shot me is not even 15 years old,” he said. After a bullet missed firing, an older attacker called him a witch and ordered the young shooter to fire again.
The attack came suddenly as Deme was out buying detergent and drinking kunnu. Armed men surrounded the village, chasing and killing anyone trying to escape.
Deme survived by staying still, fooling the attackers into thinking he was dead. His story exposes the terrifying use of children in violent raids and the deep trauma inflicted on innocent villagers.
